1. Why should I use Calder LaTour rather than any other market research company?
We work with each client to develop the most appropriate research study their business needs. We will not offer a “canned” research solution. We thoroughly explain what we are doing and why we are doing it. We give our clients specific answers to their questions and an understanding of these answers. Our methodologies allow a deeper understanding of customer and potential customer behavior.
2. How is a client guaranteed quality research?
Our broad education and experience in the industry assures this. We are detailed in our approach. Our firm is founded on a commitment to quality. Our client list is testimony to our level of quality.
3. What do marketing research and strategy development services cost?
Ask us for a quote. While we purposely do not advertise “bargain rate solutions,” we offer great value for the money. The research staff at Calder LaTour hold advanced degrees in the industry. Our principals work extensively on every project.
4. I read the brochure and I don’t see an example of precisely the study I want. Can you tailor a study to meet my company’s individual needs?
Certainly. We put examples in the brochure because we find that those examples often help our clients focus their thinking. But we have no fixed products to sell. Each study we conduct is customized for the specific needs of our client.
5. Can you do Internet studies?
Yes. But we’d like to talk with you first to be sure that a Web-based study is the best methodology for your problem. We’ve seen situations where the Web is the way to go and others where fax-based or telephone-based studies yield better information.
6. Do you have your own telephone interviewers on site?
Yes.
7. Do you meet your deadlines?
Yes. Very rarely we find that fielding a survey takes longer than initially expected. In this situation we will notify you as soon as we become aware of the problem. We can think of no situation in which this resulted in a delay of more than two weeks beyond the original deadline.
8. Can I come by and see your facility?
Certainly. Our building is at 2525 Gross Point Road, Evanston, Illinois. If there is any particular person you’d like to meet with, be sure to call ahead to be certain they’ll be here.
9. I enjoy doing consumer focus groups. How do I get placed on your list for such studies?
We have found that our focus groups are so narrowly defined as to demographics that maintaining a data base to call upon is unworkable. When we do focus groups, we recruit participants for that particular study.
